Cyclerides.com Toys To Kids event will be held at Westgate Entertainment District on Saturday, December 6th. As many of you know, they have done this event over the last 12 years, it is a little bit different that most toy runs in that we actually bring the kids that will be receiving your toys to you, so that you can see the joy on their faces when they go to pick them out. This year we will have 100 homeless children from the 1st through 3rd grades from the Children First Academy in downtown Phoenix and Tempe. For some of these kids, this will be the only thing that they will get this year, thanks to all of you.

As always, we will entertain them, feed them, courtesy of Mama Gia’s at Westgate, and make them feel like this day was made JUST for them. After the show, each child will be able to pick out 3 toys from the stack of toys that you bring. WE NEED YOUR TOYS! This is likely the best toys, or any toys that these kids will get.

This year we will have comedy and magic entertainer Craig Davis who will be entertaining the kids and the adults alike with his Trained Tropical Birds, Amazing Juggling, Grand Illusions, Audience Participation and Hilarious Comedy. We have had Craig before in the past, and he will be here again with a whole new act. Everyone will be entertained with his Vegas caliber show. Please put Saturday, December 6th on your calendar to come spend a couple of hours with the kids and be entertained yourself. Bring the whole family! Kids start arriving at 10:15 AM, Show starts promptly at 11AM. However, if you just want to get there early and watch the riders roll in, David Darnell will have the music going starting at 9AM, and Saddleranch will be open for breakfast at 9AM. Craig will also be going through the crowd starting at around 10AM doing Close-Up magic tricks that will blow you away. Hope to see you there!

We had our monthly dinner ride at Mama Louisa’s on Tuesday the 25th.  Unfortunately we only had six members and family for dinner.  A lot of this was most likely due to the fact that our dinner ride was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.  I am sure many of our chapter members were either on the road to enjoy Thanksgiving with family out of town or were making their own preparations for Thanksgiving at their respective homes.  Those who did join us were Stan & Patti Thibaut, Bud Welch, Jim Kneup, Al Tomlinson, and yours truly.
